I am currently listening to a podcast by The Brendon Show, by Brendon Burchard. In his podcast, he actually narrates his book, High Performance Habits. I am only about an hour in, but it's pretty good. He explains how we can make habits on a small level, and that is great. Things such as waking up earlier, finding a quite place to work, etc, but in order to really get to the next level, we need to continue to work on bettering ourselves often. It isn't a linear process. Just because I listened to a book, doesn't mean I have all the tips and tricks and will be a millionaire right away. He points out that we all have certain characteristics. If you go to his website, you can take a free test to figure out your traits and where you rank. In the book, he explains more about it. To be honest, I am not there yet, but I know that is where it is going.
We all need to take a step back and look at our changeable, easy, mundane habits and make changes there. But we also need to take a hard look at our lives and figure out what changes, inside ourselves, we can continue to make to get us where we want to be. I hope that makes sense.
Below is a link to his test, it is free. He also gives you some info on what the colors mean, without having to listen to the book. But I will tell you, I am getting more from the book than I did from just reading my test scores.
My name's Amanda and this is a blog about my adventure creating an online Physical Therapy based practice. I will share resources and updates on the process I am doing in order to hopefully give others an idea of where to start in the future.
