While I am a huge proponent of lifestyle changes, and not fad diets, I am doing a challenge. There is something about challenges that get people motivated and feels like "starting over" almost. It's like a kick start almost.
I am not doing a cleanse, or a fad diet, but rather something that is about life-style changes, which is good. The first goal is to just start eating healthy foods, and kind of keep track of portion control in relation to protein, fats, etc. Not really recording it, or anything like that, just following a list. There is a list of acceptable foods, and not acceptable foods. Which, of course, isn't sustainable, but the goal is to get started in the right direction. I will not be perfect forever, but for a month, why not try.
This challenge in part of a group I am in for fitness. So it is geared around increasing how much we eat to fuel our bodies. I will see how this goes and keep you posted. The main goal is to feel better, so let's see what happens.
Have you done any challenges you liked that helped get you going?
Here is my meal from last night. Some green beans, chicken breasts, and cauliflower rice. Made wings for the fiance, just cooked my chicken breasts the same way.
My name's Amanda and this is a blog about my story and my life. My hope is to motivate some of you to get going on your weight-loss journey as well as help people along the way. If you have questions about how to get started, or anything else, feel free to ask.
